Support through the challenges of parenting
Online Parent Counselling
For parents who want to understand what is happening in their family and find practical, realistic ways forward.
What parent counselling can support you with
- Boundaries and consistency
- Intense reactions and tension
- Communication and connection
- Everyday routines and transitions
- Changes in family life
- Questions about the parent–child relationship
- Outbursts, sibling conflict or jealousy
- Family changes such as separation, moving, a new sibling or starting school
What we do together
We look at your family’s context, what may underlie a child’s behaviour and what feels possible for you. We agree on small, realistic steps and revisit what helps.
Each request is considered during the free introductory meeting. If it falls outside my area of experience, I may suggest a referral to a more suitable professional or service.

Frequently asked questions
When might parent counselling be useful?
It may be useful when the same difficulties keep returning, everyday tension is affecting family life, or you want a clearer and more consistent way to respond.
Do both parents need to attend?
No. One parent or both parents may attend the same online meeting.
Does the child attend?
No. The meetings are for adult parents or carers and do not include therapy, diagnosis or assessment of the child.
Can we discuss boundaries, outbursts or sibling conflict?
Yes. We explore the context of the behaviour and practical, realistic responses that fit your family, rather than applying a single formula.
How is this different from child therapy?
The focus is on supporting the parent and the parent–child relationship. I do not provide therapy, diagnosis or assessment for the child through this service.
